Hostel Accommodation
Students are provided fully equipped accommodation in PIEAS hostels which consists of 7 hostels for male students and one hostel for female students. There are on-campus facilities of dinning, sports and dispensary.
Climate
Islamabad has a humid subtropical climate having winter (November - February), spring (March & April), summer (May & June), rainy monsoon (July & August) and autumn (September & October). Average highs during summer exceed 38 °C (100.4 °F) while average lows during winter are below 3 °C (37.4 °F).
Recreation
PIEAS is nestled in the serene setting of a beautiful countryside of Islamabad. The location, close to the Lehtrar, Murree and Margalla Hills, is very conducive to hiking. Nearby places in Rawalpindi and Islamabad such as Rawal Dam, Simly Dam, Shakarparian and the National Park offer some excellent spots for walks, picnics and relaxation. Excursion tours are arranged on a regular basis to places of interest in the surrounding areas such as Murree and Abbottabad.

Jabar Bin Hayan Scholarships for International Students
Scholarships are available for Foreign Students to study in Bachelor/ Master/ Doctoral Degree Programs offered by PIEAS.
Duration of Scholarship:
- For BS (Bachelor's) Students: Upto 04 years
- For MS (Master's) Students: Upto 2.5 years
- For PhD (Doctoral) Students: Upto 04 years
The scholarship program covers funds for the following expenses:
- University tuition fee as per actual
- Stipend @ PKR 50000, 55000 & 65000 per month for students admitted in BS, MS & PhD programs respectively
- Stipend @ PKR 50000 per month for scientist / post doc fellow
- One time return air ticket
Mandatory academic & non-academic charges like admission fee, endowment fund, library development fund, service charges, safe/ smart campus charges, hostel charges etc. are not covered.
